Not scary at all. The viewing platforms are caged in so you couldn’t fall even if you tried. This is to keep the occasional nutcase from jumping off, something that has happened a few times.

It’s the other lunatics around me would worry me more than the height.

1. the elevators are pretty big but they defintley cram as many people as they can into one elevator so its always gonna be crowded. once you get to the top you can always take the stairs down. doesn’t take too long.
2 i don’t think anyone has ever died from fear of the height but people have commited suicide from the tower. on all levels of the tower their are very high fence like things that surround it. they’re about 7-8 ft tall i think.
3. no glass floor but the elevator walls are glass i guess. but the elevator floor isn’t. plus on the each of the floors there is an inside i guess like a mini musem type thing where you can read about the history of the effiel tower.
its all very secure. millions of people visit every year and they wouldn’t if it wasn’t safe.

I’ll be honest with you. I got to 2nd level last week and couldn’t go any further.
It’s completely safe as others say, big high fences around it, although when I got to level 2 I felt rather disorientated.
Defintely worth going up though, and after 5 mins or so I had composed my self and was wandering about no problem.
To get to the top you have to change elevators at level 2 anyway, so see how you feel once you get to that point.

I had gone to eiffel last month.
Elevators are good, large and very safe.
Not heard of anyone dying of fear there. But heard there have been some whackos who jumped from it.
There is no glass floor. Honestly at first it is scary to be so high but after you see the scenery of Paris, you will love being there.
Also try and be there at around 8 in the evening so that you have a view of Paris with the light and at night in the dark.
Also at 10, 11 and 12 o clock there is eiffel lighting which is an amazing site.
Also if you are going there, do not go directly to Eiffel station, go to Trocadero station and go from there, which is a 5 min walk to Eiffel but the view is amazing from there.
Have a good trip.

Okay the elevators go up the legs of the effiel tower. I am so scared of elevators and I did it. The tower has 3 floors which I paid to go up to see the 2nd floor and the top floor. On the second floor they have gift shops and even a place to sit down and eat. I never thought it would be that big. Then I took the elevators straight up to the top. The top of the tower is smaller but you can see all Paris. I loved it. I am scared of heights so I did not stand right at the edge parts. Also at the top its covered so you can’t jump or fall off. Like it is covered with fences. I went during December and it was so cold at the top so you may want to have a coat on. Hope you have fun but dont miss out on going to the top. You will love it.
